What is a Friendship Lamp?
A lamp that is connected via Wi-Fi and the Internet to another one in a different location that's similarly connected to its respective Wi-Fi network. The lamps are set up in such a way that if one of them is touched (the sensor plate at the top), both lamps light up in the same pre-chosen color! The connect is established like this:Lamp 1 Wi-Fi 1 Internet Wi-Fi 2 Lamp 2
As you can see, the communication is two-way, allowing either person to touch the lamp and change the color of the other or others in the same network (Group ID.)What are Some of the Other Names for a Friendship Lamp?

How is a Friendship Lamp Useful to Me?
Let's say you have a friend or a long-distance partner in another country. You get one lamp for yourself and one for them. When one of you wants to communicate that you're thinking about the other person, just touch your lamp. The other one immediately lights up in your color, sending them the message loud and clear. No phones, no computers, just pure communication.Is it Complicated to Set Up?
If you can use a smartphone, it's as easy as pie. Of course, older users might need a little help with setting it up but that's only because some of them, like my grandmother, think that Wi-Fi is a "such a cute way to call the Mrs.!" Operating a friendship lamp is as easy as touching the sensor plate at the top. That's all you need to do once you've set it up. Even if you move it to a different location within the same Wi-Fi network, just plug it in, turn it on, and you're up and running. In addition, if you've set it up for two different networks, such as your home and your office, it will automatically remember that Wi-Fi signal and sign in as soon as you plug it in and power it up.I Have a Large Family. Can I Set Up More Than Two Friendship Lamps?
Absolutely! The friendship lamps are connected to a single Group ID in order to work together. Any number of lamps can be securely connected to a Group ID. No limits on that. The only limitation is the number of colors. There are currently 10 unique colors to choose from. If you have a large family of cousins or siblings spread out across the country or across the globe, you can set up one color for a group of cousins. That way, you'll know that someone from that particular family is thinking about you. "Ah, it's the Milwaukee Jensens!"Who Can Use a Friendship Lamp?
To be honest, practically any two or more people who want to stay connected to each other in a simple way will find friendship lamps to be extremely handy. There's no fussing about with zoom calls or text messaging. Just touch the sensor and your message is received.Does the Other Friendship Lamp Light Up Immediately?
Yes, as long as the lamps are turned on and connected to working Wi-Fi networks, touching one lamp will light up all other lamps in that network. There's no perceptible delay unless your connection is interrupted for some reason.Can I Use it At My School/College/University?
The lamp will work anywhere but there may be some network restrictions that will prevent you from setting it up properly. Please check with the school's administration department for a clearer picture before you purchase a lamp.Is it Portable?
The lamp itself is a sleek and lightweight unit. However, it needs to be plugged into a power source to work. There is no rechargeable battery so, technically, it is not portable in that sense.Does it Ship Anywhere?
